Awakening the wonder of learning.

Curious Kudu was born from a simple but deeply held belief: that the earliest years of a child’s life are too important, and too fleeting, to leave to chance. Every texture felt, every sound discovered, every small thing grasped and turned over in curious little hands, is a child building themselves.

We are a proudly South African brand. Locally inspired, locally illustrated, locally made. Our products carry the landscapes, wildlife and warmth of this country, because we believe South African children deserve to grow up seeing their world reflected back at them.

Alet Botha

Co-Founder & Creative Production Lead

Alet comes from a background in marketing, which means she understands both the power of a brand and the responsibility that comes with it. But Curious Kudu didn’t begin in a boardroom. It began the way most meaningful things do: with a question a mother couldn’t stop asking.

Why weren’t there more locally made, thoughtfully designed, developmentally rich products that truly reflected South Africa? The gap was obvious. The opportunity was clear. And so, Curious Kudu began.

Alet drives the brand vision, the product curation and the belief that what a child plays with genuinely matters.
